Vanuatu cattle herd growing

BCFOS -- The Vanuatu Government, which is pushing to to grow the national cattle herd, is delivering stock to Ambrym in Malampa Province this week.

The Minister for Agriculture and Livestock, Matai Seremiah, will be there when the cattle arrive.

A national re-stocking programme has already boosted herds in Torba and the Penama province and another 300 cattle are being distributed in Malampa and Tafea.

The government wants the Vanuatu herd to reach 500,000 head by 2025
